It is with sadness that the family of Anthony Louis Rumfola announce his passing on January 20, 2024, in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 78.
Anthony is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Ann; their daughters, Christine, and Michele and son in law, Miguel.
He was the proud Papa to grandchildren, Michael and Nicole; beloved brother to Madeline (Jack), Charles (Evelyn), Bill (Karen) and Kathy (Roy), as well as many cousins, nephews and nieces. Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Charles and mother, Rose.
A proud Vietnam veteran and U.S. Air Force sergeant, Anthony earned an Associate of Arts degree from L.A. Valley College and served the citizens of Los Angeles for 34 years as a Registrar of Voters supervisor. Born in Buffalo, New York, Anthony spent his childhood in Chautauqua, New York, before moving to Long Beach, California, and eventually settling in Burbank, California, where he raised his family. Anthony’s passions included watching sports, spending time with friends and family, and finding solace in watching the world go by from his seat on his front porch.
A viewing will be held from 9:00 -10:45 a.m. on March 1, 2024, at San Fernando Mission Cemetery, 11160 Stranwood Avenue, Mission Hills, California 91345, followed by funeral mass from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and graveside burial ceremony. Reception to follow for immediate family members. Memorial donations in memory of Anthony can be made to Children’s Hospital L.A. or The Midnight Mission in Anthony’s name.
