The Burbank Community Band will take concertgoers “On A Journey Across the Solar System Through Music,” a free space-themed concert that will be held at Dolores Huerta Middle School on April 6.
The concert will feature music inspired by the solar system, including selections from Holst’s “The Planets.” Music celebrating the wonder of space exploration, like original soundtrack songs from the motion picture “Apollo 13,” will also be performed at the event.
The Burbank Community Band is a traditional concert band open to everyone high school age and older. They provide a space for local musicians to come together, and their mission is to serve the community by performing concerts for pure entertainment, for commemorating holidays, for charitable fundraising and to educate children about music through school performances.
