Burbank Police Department Crime Log

Officers responded to a call for service after witnesses reported hearing a woman screaming 12:20 a.m. on Jan. 8. They determined the noise was coming from a Burbank residence, but police redacted the specific location for privacy purposes. A man was arrested in relation to the incident and charged with false imprisonment and domestic violence.

Macy’s employees called in a robbery report after a man allegedly stole items from the store while brandishing a dagger at 10:55 a.m. Jan. 6 in the 200 block of Magnolia Boulevard. Police investigated and located the man, who was arrested petty theft and for possession of the weapon and drugs.

Police were contacted after a Denny’s employee reported a customer stole her cell phone out of her back pocket at 1:45 p.m. on Jan. 2. When the employee confronted the suspected thief, he allegedly pushed her. Police reported that the phone was recovered by another employee as the man attempted to leave the restaurant. Police located the man the 2600 block of North Hollywood Way. He was arrested and placed on $50,000 bail.
