A man was arrested after he allegedly physically assaulted a Metro bus driver near Ikea Way and Verdugo Boulevard at noon on Dec. 26. The driver sustained multiple fractures as a result of the incident and the suspect was placed on $50,000 bail.

Officers sought to detain a male suspect pending a domestic violence investigation at 4:19 a.m. on Jan. 1. According to reports, the man attempted to fight officers “in an attempt to deter them from performing their lawful duty.” He was detained in the area of Cedar Avenue and Lake Street.

Five people were arrested after the group allegedly worked in concert to steal bottles of alcohol and a Caesar salad from a business in the 1100 block of Alameda Boulevard at 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 28. One suspect fled on foot and was apprehended. All suspects were arrested for petty theft.
