A man was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly brandishing a steak knife and advancing toward his father in an argument at their residence in the 700 block of South Lake Street at 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 24. The man was placed on $30,000 bail.

A man who spit on an officer was arrested in the 515 block of Andover Street at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 30. The suspect was arrested on charges of assaulting a police officer and being drunk in public.
