Burbank Police Department Crime Log

A man was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon at 10:45 a.m. on Oct. 13. The man, a suspect known to police, allegedly punched a victim in the face while holding a razor blade, causing a laceration to the victim’s left cheek. He was arrested and placed on $30,000 bail.

Officers were called to the location of a BevMo! store in the Empire Center at 4:10 a.m. on Oct. 10 after two suspects allegedly smashed the front sliding door of the retailer with a sledgehammer in order to steal bottles of alcohol. Police responded quickly and pursued the suspects. located one suspect hiding in a bush in the Empire Center. The other suspect fled from police in a vehicle which was later was found abandoned in Glendale.

A man allegedly threatened to kill two victims, male and female, while holding a machete. Victims’ reports allege that the suspect then began chasing them around in the 2200 block of North Fairview Place at 11:10 p.m. on Oct. 14. The man was arrested on criminal threat and drug charges and was placed on $50,000 bail.
