Officers were called to the scene of an assault near the Olive Avenue Bridge at 5:15 p.m. on Oct. 3. Police said that a man attempted to strike another man in the face with a wooden guitar several times, causing a laceration to victim’s hand. The man was arrested and placed on $30,000 bail.
Two men were arrested for carjacking and assault in the 200 block of North Third Street at 4:25 a.m. on Oct. 6. The two men were allegedly loitering and drinking when one man approached a car, reached in the vehicle, and attempted to carjack the victim. One man threw a beer bottle at the driver, missing and hitting the vehicle and causing damage. Both men were arrested for attempted carjacking. One man was also arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism. Their collective bail was set at $100,000.
A man contacted police and reported his girlfriend had bit him during an argument, leaving a mark on his chest. She was placed under arrest for felony domestic violence causing corporal injury. She was booked at 12:01 a.m. on Oct. 10 and her bail was set at $50,000.
