Burbank Police Department Crime Log

A man who allegedly displayed signs of intoxication in public was reported to have approached a woman while wielding a knife near Valley Boulevard and Park Avenue at 5 p.m. on Oct. 2. Witnesses told police that the man threatened the woman and said he intended to harm her with the weapon. Officers were called to the scene and apprehended the man on charges of assault with a deadly weapon. He was placed on $30,000 bail.

Police observed a male allegedly hiding underneath a U-Haul moving vehicle in the 900 block of Victory Boulevard at 2:10 a.m. on Sept. 26. The responding officer’s investigation revealed that two males were allegedly conspiring to commit theft of gasoline. The two were arrested for conspiracy to commit a felony and placed on $20,000 bail.

Officers allegedly observed vehicle burnout across from a car club and reported that the drivers had “met to show off and then drive recklessly in a highly populated downtown location on Glenoaks Blvd and Verdugo Boulevard,” at 2:10 a.m. on Sept. 29. The suspected driver was booked in BPD Jail for reckless driving and motor vehicle exhibition and was placed on $5,000 bail.
