Officers were called to a home after a man, who had allegedly been drinking and arguing with his wife, was reported to have grabbed her arms and held her down inside the bedroom. The woman suffered minor abrasions to her right forearm. The man was placed under arrest at about 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 1 for domestic violence and was placed on $20,000 bail.

A man allegedly struck a woman in the head and face causing her to fall to the ground near Vanowen Street and Buena Vista Street at 7 p.m. on Aug. 5. While on the ground, the suspect allegedly kicked and struck the victim in the head and body. Officers located the man nearby and booked him on assault. He was placed on $30,000 bail.

A call for service was placed with police after witnesses observed an unresponsive man who was in possession of syringes near the 1300 block of North Victory Boulevard at 8:10 p.m. on Aug. 7. Police booked the man on drug possession violations. He was placed under arrest and booked in the BPD jail. His bail was set at $500.
