Burbank Police Department Crime Log

A man was arrested at a playground in the 1900 block of Grismer Avenue after he allegedly exposed himself to an unknown victim at about 10 a.m. on Jan. 27. He was charged with indecent exposure and placed on $10,000 bail.

A man was arrested after he allegedly approached a marked BPD patrol vehicle wielding a knife near Victory Boulevard and Olive Avenue at about 6 a.m. on Feb. 1. Officers reported that the man was shouting death threats. He allegedly began chasing the police car with the knife in his hand and ultimately threw the knife at the police car. He then brandished a second knife at a responding police officer and began stabbing various objects. While the man was being taken into custody, he bit an officer in the left knee.

Two women allegedly stole alcohol from a Costco on Victory Boulevard at 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 3. They were approached by Costco staff outside the store and returned the stolen merchandise. They later entered a vehicle, but they were located by BPD officers before they could flee. The two women were taken into custody for shoplifting and drug possession and were each placed on $5,000 bail.

Officers conducted a traffic stop for vehicle code violations near South Chaves Street and West Elm Avenue at 1 a.m. on Feb. 5. The driver was arrested for being in possession of live ammunition in violation of court orders. He was arrested and placed on $5,000 bail.
