Bears Defeated by St. Genevieve in CIF Playoffs

The Burroughs High School varsity girls’ soccer team was edged at St. Genevieve High of Panorama City, 2-1, in a CIF-Southern Section Division V first-round matchup on Wednesday.
The Bears had defeated Thacher High of Ojai, 4-1, in a CIF wildcard game on Monday.
Burroughs had previously blanked host Burbank, 6-0, in their regular-season finale. Individual statistics were not reported to the Burbank Leader.
Burroughs concluded the season third in the Pacific League with a 9-4-1 record (13-7-1 overall).

BURBANK

The Bulldogs lost to visiting Burroughs High, 6-0, in their Pacific League and regular-season finale last Thursday.
Burbank finished the season seventh in the standings with a 2-12 record (3-14 overall).
