During a stolen property investigation, police observed a suspect driving a U-Haul from a residence near Fourth Street and the I5 freeway at about noon on Jan. 18. During a traffic stop of the vehicle, several cut catalytic converters were located along with suspected methamphetamine. The driver was booked for grand theft and drug charges and was placed on $1,000 bail.
Officers stopped a driver for vehicle code violations at 2:30 a.m. on Jan 20 near Magnolia Boulevard and Orchard Drive. Drug paraphernalia was observed in plain view. A search of the driver revealed an unregistered loaded handgun. A resulting probable cause search of the vehicle revealed an additional handgun and methamphetamine. The man was arrested for drug possession, illegal firearm charges and resisting arrest.
A witness observed male and female arguing inside of a parked vehicle at public electric vehicle charging center at 1:15 p.m. on Jan. 23. The man then grabbed the woman by the back of the neck and forced her head to move back and forth. He was subsequently arrested for domestic violence. He was placed on $20,000 bail.
