Burbank Defeats Pasadena; Burroughs Blanked by Crescenta Valley

The Burbank High School varsity boys’ soccer team picked up a 3-1 Pacific League victory over visiting Pasadena on Tuesday.
Sophomore Erik Antanesyan scored the deciding goal on a fast break while junior George Atallah was credited with an assist on the play. Antanesyan scored Burbank’s third and final goal later in the game to bring his total up to two. Senior Gabriel Mier scored the tying goal on a 30-yard free kick and was credited with an assist later in the game.
The Bulldogs (7-3-1 overall, 3-1-1 in league) will host Glendale in a league game on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 3:30 p.m.

Burroughs High School freshman Kyle Kozin and the Bears will host Arcadia in a Pacific League matchup on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 3:30 p.m.

The Bears were shut out by visiting Crescenta Valley High of La Crescenta, 1-0, in a Pacific League game on Tuesday.
JBHS (6-4-1 overall, 2-2-1 in league) will host Arcadia in a league matchup on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 3:30 p.m.
