Burbank residents aged 65 and older recently came out for a special Optum patient appreciation health fair at the Burbank Marriott Airport Hotel.
At the fair, Optum doctors and care teams provided health screenings, such as annual wellness and blood pressure checks and helped Medicare Advantage patients set goals to live a healthier 2023 — all to help the Burbank community lead stronger, healthier lives. Health care professionals provided educational classes designed to help patients better understand their numbers and healthy ranges for blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol and body weight.
Care providers stressed the importance of exercise, movement and being active. The classes highlighted how fiber, foot care, label reading and knowing about sodium, cholesterol and healthy fats can help people live a healthier life.
Attendees also enjoyed meeting new friends, eating delicious healthy snacks and door prizes.
