Burbank Police Department Crime Log

Officers observed a man sleeping in his parked vehicle at 1015 N. San Fernando Blvd. at 11:45 a.m. on Sept. 20. He consented to allow officers to search his person and vehicle. He advised officers that he had cocaine inside the vehicle, which officers located. He was arrested for violation of possession of a controlled substance.

Police were contacted with reports of a man holding a knife. Officers responded to Olive Avenue and Virginia Avenue at 1:50 p.m. on Sept. 21 and located a man who was holding an unknown metal object. The man ignored officers’ commands and waived the object at them. Officer utilized a 40 mm less lethal round and taser in order to subdue him. He was arrested for resisting arrest, brandishing a deadly weapon, and for having two warrants. He was placed on $25,000 bail.

Officers responded to a call for service after a man made criminal threats against his roommate during an argument at 1506 N. Niagara St. at 7:15 p.m. on Sept. 23. The man was arrested for criminal threats and outstanding warrants and placed on $50,000 bail.
A man challenged a parkgoer and officers to a fight in the parking lot of 1515 N. Glenoaks Blvd. at 10:23 a.m. on Sept. 24. He was arrested for unlawful fighting, resisting arrest and littering, and placed on $25,000 bail.

Officer responded to a residence on the 3000 block of Trudi Lane regarding a man yelling at his grandmother at 2:06 a.m. on Sept. 25. Upon officers’ arrival, the man was arrested for disconnecting telephone lines and elder abuse.

A cashier from Macy’s observed a woman stealing large amounts of clothing. The suspect placed some clothing in the bed of a truck that was waiting in the west garage near the Macy’s store. After officials responded, the truck fled and the woman was ultimately left behind, arrested for grand theft and placed on $20,000 bail.
