The Burbank High School varsity football team had its two-game winning streak snapped after falling to visiting Brentwood School of Los Angeles, 48-6, in nonleague action last Friday.
Senior Dylan Robinson completed four passes for 98 yards and a touchdown while adding 28 yards on seven carries. Senior Zakk Estrada made a pair of catches for a team-high 81 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 57 yards on nine carries. Junior Jacob Mendieta rushed for 44 yards on 10 carries while junior Justin Lee carried once for 8 yards. Senior Jarrett Bose had one reception for 10 yards, while senior Ben Forster and junior Jake Reyes each made one catch for 7 and 2 yards, respectively. Sophomore Daniel Zacariaz completed a pair of passes for 7 yards.
The Bulldogs (2-2 overall) concluded nonleague action by visiting St. Genevieve High in Panorama City yesterday; the result was unavailable by the Burbank Leader’s press deadline and will be included in next week’s issue. Following a bye week, Burbank will kick off Pacific – Upper League action by visiting Pasadena on Thursday, Sept. 29, at 7 p.m.
