Lincoln Beer Company’s Cream Ale recently placed third for American cream ales at the California State Fair.

Lincoln Beer Co., a Burbank-based brewery, recently took home a third-place award in the California State Fair Commercial Craft competition.
The brewery’s Cream Ale placed third in the American-style cream ales category, behind the eventual Best in Show L.A. Blonde from Angel City Brewing Company and Hola Senor from Auburn-based Knee Deep Brewing.
Lincoln Beer boasted that its ale is brewed without the use of cream, describing it as having “the subtle sweet taste and smoothness of fresh cream while being crisp, clear and effervescent like a lager,” according to a company representative.
The award is Lincoln Beer’s second this summer, after its Mosaic Pilsner took home a silver medal at the Brewers Association’s prestigious World Beer Cup, the world’s largest beer contest, in May.
Lincoln’s Mosaic Pilsner finished second, behind Pizza Port Bressi Ranch’s Dieguito in the American-style pilsner category.
The brewery described it as “full-flavored but not overpowering and extremely crushable” and hailed it as its first single-hop pilsner — mosaic hops, as the name suggests — in a series that has since branched out into several variations based on different hops.
Lincoln Beer Company is located at 3083 N. Lima St.
