Burbank High School students Brandon Choi (second from left), Mark Lin and Suzie Matinyan received recognition for their statuses as National Merit Scholar finalists during a board of education meeting Thursday. They were joined by Burbank High Principal Thomas Crowther; board members Steve Ferguson, Charlene Tabet, Emily Weisberg and Armond Aghakhanian; and John Paramo, assistant superintendent of educational services. Burroughs High School student Ronan Park, who did not attend the meeting, is also a finalist.
