The Altadena Library Foundation’s ‘Taste of ’Dena’ Sept. 25

The Altadena Library District recently announced that its annual fundraiser will return this year in person with live music, wine from several California wineries and “small bites” from local restaurants on Saturday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. The event will be hosted in the parking lot of the Altadena Library District’s main branch on Mariposa Street.
The silent auction, featuring items and experiences from local businesses and beyond, will be held virtually, allowing library-goers to bid from home or from the event. The silent auction will go live on Saturday, Sept. 18, with bidding ending the evening of Saturday, Sept. 25.
Money raised at “Taste of ’Dena” will be used to support the ongoing programming and maintenance costs of the Curiosity Connection, the library’s new mobile library that recently began providing services and Wi-Fi hotspots to all corners of the Altadena community. (The Curiosity Connection was purchased in part using funds raised at last year’s virtual “Taste of ‘Dena.”)
The event will also support two other areas of need — the library’s new “Little Free Libraries” initiative and its art-centered programming.
Tickets start at $75 per person. Event organizers are also providing sponsorship opportunities. Details can be found at altadenalibraryfoundation.org/tasteofdena.
