Memorial Day Ceremony to Feature Condor Flyover

Military and police veterans, members of the Burbank Veterans Committee, local leaders and the community will gather at the McCambridge Park War Memorial at 11 a.m. Monday, May 27, for a Memorial Day ceremony in honor of those who died while serving their country.

A pre-ceremony concert featuring the Burbank Band starts at 10:15 a.m., followed by the Ceremony of the Rose. The event will feature a flyover by the Condor Squadron, sponsored by the Cusumano Real Estate Group.

In a spectacle put on by local aviation enthusiasts, pilots fly over “in restored North American Aviation AT-6/SNJ trainers originally flown during World War II,” according to the Condor Squadron’s website.

The McCambridge Park War Memorial is at the corner of San Fernando Boulevard and Amherst Drive.

The Memorial Day event is free to the public.
