A Very Merry Winter Market

Typewriter Connection, the go-to typewriter resource in the heart of the Los Angeles Arts District, will host the second annual “A Very Merry Winter Market” on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022. The event is free and open to the public.

The Winter Market drew hundreds of attendees in its inaugural run in 2021. This year, dozens of makers, artists, and craftspeople will fill the space at As We Dwell in the Arts District for a unique shopping experience. 

At the center of the event are typewriters. There will be opportunities for people to use these vintage machines to create holiday cards for loved ones, or notes to pen pals … anything you can type, Typewriter Connection can accommodate!

“Typewriters bring people together in a special way,” said Aaron Therol, founder of Typewriter Connection. “People value personalized connection in this disconnected age. That’s why they still gravitate toward typewriters. The Very Merry Winter Market makes a similar connection, bringing artisans and creative makers together with the community through their art.”

“A Very Merry Winter Market” will take place Saturday, Dec. 3, 2021 from noon to 6 p.m. at As We Dwell, 441 Seaton St., Los Angeles, CA 90013. Parking and admission are free, but registration is encouraged at this link.

The event will include live poetry demonstrations, letterpress arts, original and print artwork, handmade gifts, and of course … vintage typewriters.
