The Burbank African Violet Society will welcome award-winning landscape designer Steve Gerischer to be the guest speaker at its next club meeting at the Little White Chapel Christian Church on Nov. 16 at 10 a.m.
The program will highlight Gerischer’s presentation on “Rose Growing Through the Year.”
Gerischer, who is a teacher and former board member and past president of the Southern California Horticulture Society, has been gardening locally in the Los Angeles area since childhood. He has also appeared on HGTV’S “Landscaper’s Challenge” (where his design was chosen and installed), and previously worked and lectured at Smooth and Hortus in Pasadena. Gerischer now divides his time between creating landscapes with his company, Larkspur Garden Design, and lecturing on a wide variety of topics relating to gardening in Southern California.
Attendees can expect raffle and silent auction tables, show and tell, and refreshments. Guests are always invited to attend the meetings.
