Burroughs, Burbank Athletes Earn League Honors

The Pacific League recently released its all-league teams for baseball, softball, boys’ volleyball, boys’ tennis and boys’ golf following the completion of the 2023 spring season.

Burroughs and Burbank high school athletes were recognized for their seasonlong accomplishments, hard work and outstanding contributions to their teams.

BASEBALL

Burroughs’ Nate Chapman and Sebastian Zamora each received first-team honors, Zack Freck was a second-team selection and Steve Suarez was an honorable mention.

Burbank’s Jimmy Cafferty received a first-team selection, Julian Gonzalez earned second-team honors and Colby Bette was an honorable mention.

SOFTBALL

Burroughs High School’s Stevie Dabbadie was named the Pacific League’s co-player of the year in softball.

Burroughs’ Stevie Dabbadie was named the co-player of the year while teammates Chloe Centeno, Lilly Lewis and Rachel Little each received first-team honors. Gizelle Rangsiyawong, Alyssa Rosales and Phoebe Spangler were each second-team selections while Karlee Earl earned an honorable mention.

Burbank’s Samantha Buckley and Maddison Kellogg received first-team honors, Delilah Alvarado and Eliza Bowren were each second-team selections and Kara Valencia earned an honorable mention.

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

Burbank’s Ryan Viyar received first-team honors, Ian Villaflor was a second-team selection and Noah Lintag earned an honorable mention.

Burroughs’ Henry Carlin, Mark Hopkins, Carlos Tupua-Stiefel and Andy Zeytounian were each second-team selections while Charlie Gerard received an honorable mention.

BOYS’ TENNIS

Burbank’s Amrith Kodumuri and Adam Ridaoui each earned first-team singles selections while doubles players Adonis Basco and David Kerimyan received first-team honors. Loi Phan was named the co-coach of the year after leading the Bulldogs to a co-league title with an 11-1 record.

BOYS’ GOLF

Burbank’s Mark Alba and Zachary Ducore each earned first-team selections while Aidan Clendenin and Ryan Labus received second-team honors. Doug Grimshaw was named the co-coach of the year.

Burroughs’ Adriel Abaoag earned first-team honors while Tyler Jones and Ladon Ramos were each second-team selections.
