The Burbank High School varsity boys’ tennis team edged visiting Arcadia, 10-8, in a Pacific League match on Tuesday.
No. 1 Adam Ridaoui (6-2, 6-2, 6-2), No. 2 Amrith Kodumuri (6-1, 6-0, 6-0) and the No. 1 team of Minjae Kim and David Petrosyan (6-4, 6-2, 6-4) each swept while No. 3 Raphael Lazaryev added a 6-4 victory.
The Bulldogs previously picked up a 12-6 league victory at Crescenta Valley High in La Crescenta. No. 2 Kodumuri (6-0, 6-1, 6-0) and No. 3 Lazaryev (6-1, 6-1, 6-1) each swept. No. 1 Ridaoui (6-1, 6-1) and the No. 1 tandem of Petrosyan and Kim (7-6, 6-2) each won a pair of sets while the No. 2 duo of Blake Lewis and Edouard Oganesian (6-3), and the No. 3 team of Harutyun Keklikyan and Vamsi Chintha (6-4) each won a set.

BURROUGHS

The Bears crushed host Pasadena, 17-1, in a Pacific League match on Tuesday.
No. 1 Bernard Woods (6-3, 6-0, 6-0) and No. 3 Zachary Barry (6-4, 6-0, 6-0) each swept, No. 2 Michael Fraser won a pair of sets by 6-0 scores, and the No. 3 team of Paul Vu and Miles Howell swept, 6-1, 6-1, 6-0. The No. 1 duo of Kaian Bates and Vivek Bhakta won a pair of sets, 6-1, 6-4, before the latter alternated for Ari Pathak, who helped add a 7-6 win. The No. 2 tandem of Sean Konkle and Bevan Maxwell won a pair of sets, 6-2, 6-3, before alternating with Theodore Pynchon and Niyanth Mahesh, who added a 6-3 win.
