Bears, Bulldogs Drop League Encounters

The Burroughs High School varsity girls’ soccer team was shut out by visiting Arcadia, 1-0, in a Pacific League matchup on Tuesday.
The Bears previously lost a league matchup at Pasadena, 5-2, as senior captain Julia Narmore and sophomore Quiana Laughlin each scored once.
Third-place JBHS (11-6-1 overall, 8-4-1 in league) recently visited seventh-place Burbank for its regular-season finale; the game ended after the Burbank Leader’s press deadline and will be included in next week’s issue. The CIF-Southern Section playoff brackets will be released today at 10 a.m.

Burbank High School senior captain Valeria Rojas and the Bulldogs are in seventh place in the Pacific League standings.

The Bulldogs lost to visiting Glendale, 3-1, in a Pacific League game on Tuesday as sophomore Maneh Nersesyan scored the lone goal.
Burbank previously lost a league matchup at Glendale, 2-0.
The seventh-place Bulldogs (3-13 overall, 2-11 in league) recently hosted third-place Burroughs High for their regular-season finale; the game ended after the Burbank Leader’s press deadline and will be included in next week’s issue.
