Burbank Police Department Crime Log

Police were called when witnesses reported a man on the rooftop of a medical building in the 4100 block of Victory Boulevard at about 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 20. The man was approached by police in the rear alley of the business. He had in his possession pipe cutting tools and drug paraphernalia. He was subsequently arrested on charges of theft and narcotics violations.

A man allegedly started a garbage fire in the 4100 block of West Sarah Street at 4:45 a.m. on Dec. 21. When he was detained by police, he allegedly provided false identifying information. The man was arrested on charges of providing false information and reckless burning of personal property.

The driver of a black BMW struck multiple vehicles on Alameda Avenue and Sixth Street, fleeing the scene. Officers followed the BMW to the area of Sixth Street and Providencia Avenue and detained the driver, who displayed objective signs of intoxication, police said. The driver, a man, was unable to participate in sobriety tests at the scene, and he was subsequently arrested on charges of drunk driving. He was placed on $30,000 bail.

A man allegedly struck his neighbor in the face during an altercation on South Glenoaks Boulevard and East Elmwood at 3:50 a.m. on Dec. 26. The victim signed a citizen’s arrest form and officers located the suspect, arresting him on charges of battery.
