The Burbank City Council honored Filipino American History Month last Tuesday, Oct. 25.
This recognition, which was established by Congress in 2009, provides an opportunity to promote the study of Filipino American history and culture, and to recognize the economic, intellectual, spiritual and social contributions of Filipino Americans in our country and in our community. Members of the St. Robert Bellarmine Filipino Catholic Organization were present to accept the proclamation.
