Burbank Police Department Crime Log

A man was stopped at the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and Evergreen Street at about 9 p.m. on Sept. 27 for suspected involvement in a burglary. A consent search of the suspect revealed narcotics and burglary tools. Officers searched the vehicle, locating additional tools and credit cards in other persons’ names. The man was arrested and booked without bail.

A Walgreens employee witnessed a man urinate on a toy display, causing more than $400 worth of damage at 2 p.m. on Sept. 28. A witness identified the man while he was lying on the sidewalk in front of the location, and noted they intended to press charges. The witness signed a citizen arrest form. The man was arrested and placed on $20,000 bail.

Officers were contacted regarding an assault that took place at about 3 p.m. on 201 N. Front St. on Sept. 29. They located a man suspected of punching a victim in the face. The man was arrested and placed on $50,000 bail.

A man was arrested at 8:15 a.m. at the Burlington Coat Factory after he allegedly committed a string of sexual assaults on more than one occasion at the location. He was located by officers, arrested for sexual battery, and placed on $20,000 bail.

Officers stopped a pedestrian for crossing the street against a red hand signal at the intersection of San Fernando Boulevard and Grinnell Drive at 9:10 a.m. on Oct. 1. They conducted a pat-down search and observed a meth pipe protruding from the male suspect’s pocket. Officer also located two California EBT cards belonging to others. The man was subsequently arrested for access card theft and drug paraphernalia. No bail was specified.

Officers reported that a man threw a glass jar at two victims while inside a store at 1100 N. San Fernando Blvd. at 10 p.m. on Oct. 2. One victim charged at the man and began striking him while the second victim attempted to stop the altercation. The man was booked without bail for assault with a deadly weapon.

A man was arrested after refusing to leave the bathroom of a Coach USA bus at 3750 Empire Ave. at 2:44 a.m. on Oct 3. When the man exited the bathroom, he was arrested for disturbing the peace and drug possession. No bail was specified.
