The Burroughs High School varsity football team continued its perfect season after defeating visiting Hueneme High of Oxnard, 34-21, in a nonleague game last Friday. No individual statistics were reported to the Burbank Leader.
The Bears (4-0 overall) concluded nonleague action at Harvard-Westlake High in Studio City on Friday; the game ended after the Burbank Leader’s press deadline and will be included in next week’s issue.
JBHS will open Pacific-Upper League play at Crescenta Valley High in La Crescenta on Friday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m.
