Burbank Police Department Crime Log

Police responded to a hit-and-run traffic collision at the 3800 block of Vanowen Street on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 10:40 a.m. The suspect was located and police say he displayed the objective signs and symptoms of intoxication. A DUI investigation determined that the suspect was involved in a collision while driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. He was arrested, booked, and placed on $35,000 bail.

A man drove up to a family while they were in the driveway of their home on the 4100 block of Eagle Rock Boulevard at 10:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14. He pointed a black handgun at the family and threatened to shoot them. The suspect, who later drove away without discharging the firearm, was located by officers and arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. He was placed on $100,000 bail.

Officers responded to a petty theft call at San Fernando Boulevard and Palm Avenue at 3:38 p.m. on Thursday, Sept 15. They identified a suspect as a repeat offender of theft at a local business. The business wanted him arrested for theft and trespassing. The suspect, who was also intoxicated, was arrested for petty theft and placed on $500 bail.

A disturbance between a boyfriend and girlfriend at Olive Avenue and Alameda Avenue at 12:05 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, resulted in both offenders being arrested for domestic battery. They were later booked at the Burbank jail without specified bail.

A woman entered a 7-Eleven convenience store 265 Olive Avenue and allegedly stole candy at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17. Witnesses report that the suspect swung her skateboard at the store manager when he attempted to retrieve the stolen property. She was arrested for theft using force, resisting arrest and vehicle code violations. She was placed on $50,000 bail.

A man reportedly stole a dog from a West Burbank Boulevard animal shelter cage during overnight hours. He was located on Sunday, Sept. 18, at 1:30 p.m., arrested for grand theft, and placed on $20,000 bail.

Officers responded to Costco regarding a report of shoplifting of alcohol. Two subjects were later located driving by officers. After a traffic collision and foot pursuit, both subjects were taken into custody without bail at 1:23 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19.
