Burbank to Host Media District Specific Plan Workshop

First published in the Sept. 17 print issue of the Burbank Leader.

The city of Burbank, in partnership with the Southern California Association of Governments, is updating the Media District Specific Plan, and will be hosting a 6 p.m. public workshop Wednesday, Sept. 28, at the Community Services Building.
This update will focus on developing and implementing policies and programs to remove barriers to housing production, streamline the permitting process and introduce practical design standards for new development. This means opportunities to foster a stronger jobs/housing balance within a safe, beautiful and thriving community that embraces future mobility investments.
The city welcomes community input as they update the plan. It will hold its first public workshop intended to provide an overview of the project including priorities and timeline. There, city officials will seek public input on the vision and priorities needed to update the Plan for the Media District.
The workshop will be located at 150 N. Third St., Burbank 91502.
