Burbank Police Department Crime Log

Officers responded to a petty theft at Nordstrom on Aug. 23 at 10:20 p.m. Officers arrested a man after he stole $87.94 worth of merchandise. The man provided a fake name throughout the investigation but was eventually identified and booked on $5,000 bail.

A man refused to leave Planet Fitness after multiple requests from management on Aug. 24 at 2:47 p.m. Management signed a Citizen Arrest Statement. The man resisted police and was arrested and booked for trespassing and placed on $10,000 bail.

A man slapped his girlfriend across the face over argument on Aug. 25 at 1:25 a.m. at an undisclosed location. Police were contacted and the man was subsequently arrested for domestic battery. He was placed on $20,000 bail.

A dispute occurred involving a mother and her adult daughter on the 10000 block of Vanowen Street at 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 26. While the daughter was leaving the residence in her vehicle, she struck her mother with the vehicle and fled the scene. The daughter was later located in North Hollywood, arrested and placed on $30,000 bail.

Officers stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Empire Avenue and Ontario Street at 2:23 a.m. on Aug. 27. The driver was in possession of a ghost gun and narcotics. The man was arrested without bail.

A witness observed a man strike his wife in the face at an unknown location at 12:01 a.m. on Aug. 28. Officers responded to a call regarding the violence and arrested the husband for domestic violence without bail.

A burglary occurred at a business on the 800 block of South San Fernando Boulevard at 2 a.m. on Aug. 29. A neighboring business observed three male suspects jumping over the fence of a secured business and actively stealing items. Officers arrived on scene and arrested two out of the three males. One male is still at large. Officers are reviewing security footage to identify that third male. The other two were booked and placed on $20,000 bail.
