Authorities on Tuesday identified three men, including a Burbank resident, who were killed in a three-vehicle crash in Winnetka over the weekend that injured six other people.
The crash, apparently involving excessive speed, was reported around 9 p.m. Sunday in the 19700 block of Vanowen Street, according to the Los Angeles fire and police departments.
Steve Orellana Jr., 22, of Reseda, Celestino Fuentes, 22, of Burbank, and Isaiah Sanchez, 23, of Northridge, died at the scene, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office reported.
Six other people were taken to hospitals with “potentially serious injuries,” the LAFD reported. They all had stable vital signs when transported.
LAPD Capt. Andrew Neiman told reporters at the scene the Ford Explorer with the three men inside was moving at 65-70 mph in a 35-mph zone at the time of the crash.
