The Burbank High School varsity boys’ tennis team was edged at perennial powerhouse Arcadia in a Pacific League match, losing 83-80 in total games after finishing regulation with a 9-9 tie in sets won on Tuesday.
BHS No. 1 singles player Amrith Kodumuri collected three set wins, 6-3, 6-0, 6-1, while No. 2 singles player, junior Adam Ridaoui, also swept 7-5, 6-3, 6-1.
Meanwhile in the doubles competitions, the No. 1 team of senior Yash Desai and Adonis Basco tallied two victories, 6-3, 7-6, while the No. 2 tandem of seniors Mark Lin and Christopher Krikorian registered one set win, 7-6.
The Bulldogs (8-2 overall record) will host intracity rival Burroughs in a league matchup on Tuesday, April 19, at 3:30 p.m.

The visiting Bears lost a Pacific League matchup at Crescenta Valley High of La Crescenta, 11-7, on Tuesday.
No. 1 singles player Bernard Woods posted a pair of set victories, 7-5, 6-1, while No. 2 singles player Markos Mkrtchyan also collected two set victories, 6-4, 6-1. Meanwhile, No. 3 singles player Michael Fraser tallied one set win, 6-4.
In doubles competitions, the No. 3 tandem of Zion DuMonde and Kaian Bates registered two victories, 6-2, 6-1.
Burroughs (3-7 overall) visits Burbank High in a league matchup on Tuesday, April 19, at 3:30 p.m.
